REACH

The Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Union regulation dating 18 December 2006. It is a pillar of the bloc’s regulatory efforts on chemical pollution and includes a broad range of measures. Five European countries’ chemical agencies are working to regulate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) under this regulation, where multiple refrigerants are likely to be included.
